STANTON - Jody Leon Whitley 45, died Mar. 15, 2021. Visitation will be Mar. 18, from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home. He was born July 18, 1975 in Lamesa. He was employed by Tessco for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Linda Whitley.

Dorothy Allred

STANTON - Dorothy Allred, 79, died Mar. 9, 2021. A graveside service was Mar. 12, at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Allred; daughters Dee Dee and Missy.

Billie L. Springer

MIDLAND - Billie L. Springer, 91, of Midland, died Mar. 15, 2021. She was born Sept. 17, 1929 in Midland, to Alvah F. and Elizabeth McKee. She was raised in Midland and graduated from Midland High School.

Donald Ray McCuin

RUSSELLVILLE - Donald Ray McCuin, age 92, of Russellville died Mar. 4, 2021, at his home. He was born Aug. 16, 1928, in Hector to Willie Roy and Sylvia Marie Condley McCuin. He was a United States Army Veteran and worked for the Hector School Systems for 25 years.

Colten Ross Huckaby

DALLAS - Lee Graves went to be with his Savior and Lord on March 3, 2021 at Faith Presbyterian Center in Dallas. He was born in Lenorah, Aug. 15, 1934, to Melvin and Zona Graves. He grew up and spent most of his adult life in Stanton. He was married to Mary Frances Cline Feb. 21, 1953.

Woodie S. Caffey

MIDLAND - Woodie S. Caffey, 86, of Stanton died Mar. 3, 2021 at Manor Park in Midland. He was born on Aug. 22, 1934, in Jones County, to H.R. and Daisy Caffey. He was a graduate of Knott High School. He married Darlene Bristow of Ackerly on Feb. 20, 1955, in Ackerly.

George Eugene Grim

SAN ANGELO - George Eugene Grim died Feb. 14, 2021, in San Angelo. Funeral services were Feb. 20, at the Robert Lee Baptist Church. The family will have a private burial at a later date. Arrangements were by Shaffer Funeral Home. He was born Aug.

Harold Wayne Thomas

BIG SPRING - Harold Wayne Thomas, 87, Feb. 10, 2021 in Big Spring. He was born on Feb. 15, 1933 to Toliver Benjamin Thomas and Innis Bail Thomas in Post. He was the youngest of six children.

Olga LaGuen “Gwen” Sawyer

LUBBOCK - Olga LaGuen “Gwen” Sawyer, 82 of Lubbock, formerly of Stanton, died Feb. 14, 2021. Graveside service Feb. 22, at Evergreen Cemetery. She was born in Lamesa, to parents Willie Womack and Effie (Rupe) Womack on July 16, 1938.
