Grady basketball seasons underway; will be in Miles this weekend

GRADY – It’s still early in the basketball season and teams are working to get better. Some games go great while others help coaches identify what areas need more work.

O’DONNELL – Basketball season has begun for Garden City with the varsity traveling to O’Donnell last week and the junior varsity playing in Stanton on Tuesday.

Bearkats pick up win over 3A Grape Creek

GARDEN CITY - The Garden City Bearkats picked up a nice win over a much larger school on Tuesday, 3A Grape Creek. The Bearkats defense was staggering in the first quarter not allowing Grape Creek a single point. This gave the Garden City offense the opportunity to build a halftime lead of 17-10.

Coahoma squeaks by Wildcats Tuesday night

GRADY – After a short Thanksgiving break, Grady’s varsity and junior varsity boys’ basketball teams were back in action against Coahoma on Tuesday night in Grady. The two teams were evenly matched with the outcome being a difference of just one point.

Junior high Cats fall to Klondike

KLONDIKE – Grady’s junior high boys’ basketball team ran into a buzz saw Klondike Cougars on Monday. Klondike’s defense was on another level in the first half holding Grady scoreless. Once the Wildcat’s found an offensive rhythm it was too late, and Klondike won 33-9. “A tough night offensively.

Area FFA Teams Exhibit FFA Leadership Skills at Area Competition

WEST TEXAS - Our three local FFA chapters were in action on Saturday, November 20th at the Area II Leadership Development Events. All students who competed qualified by earning first or second place in their respective district contests.

Grady Wildcat basketball seasons are underway for junior high, junior varsity

GRADY – The Grady Wildcat’s sub-varsity teams started their basketball seasons last week. The junior high Cats split their opening week with a win over Midland TLCA and a loss to Sands. Last Thursday Grady dominated Midland TLCA 40-7.
